It acts as a gentle laxative & bowel tonic & also builds & restores the tissues of the body, particularly the colon, lungs, liver & spleen.
Amalaki is ideal to pacify pitta dosha, as it relieves inflammation in the stomach & colon. It also builds & rejuvenates red blood cell count, detoxifies the liver & mouth & replenishes the gums, bones, hair & nails. With 3,000 mg of vitamin C per fruit, amalaki is an excellent herb to incorporate into your self-care ritual.
